Developing an industry-led specialist qualification

The South East 7 group of councils needed a training programme to equip civil engineers with the key skills of public sector highway management.

Working in partnership with South East 7, private contractors Balfour Beatty, May Gurney and Amey, the 91抖阴 developed the first postgraduate qualification in the UK to cover this specialised area.

We had the ideas. The university provided the academic rigour. Together we shaped them into specific learning outcomes and objectives.
