Where is the 91¶¶Òõ?

The 91¶¶Òõ is based in 91¶¶Òõ & Hove, a city on the south coast of England. There are three campuses in 91¶¶Òõ: City campus, Falmer campus and Moulsecoomb campus.

Accommodation

Is accommodation guaranteed?

If you're an undergraduate or postgraduate student entering your first year at the 91¶¶Òõ and paying international fees, you're guaranteed a place in university managed accommodation if you firmly accept an offer from the university and submit your accommodation application form by the deadline.

International students who apply after the deadline may be offered a room in halls if possible, but this is not guaranteed and any choice is likely to be limited.

Is the price of accommodation included in the tuition fee amount?

No, the tuition fee only covers the cost of the course itself. The amount you will pay for accommodation will vary depending on the location and type of accommodation.

What is a CAS and when will I receive it?

A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is a reference number issued by UK universities and other educational institutions. You need a CAS to apply for immigration permission – whether you are applying from outside or inside the UK.

Can I work in the UK while I am studying?

You may be able to work while you are studying – it depends on the type of visa you have.

Student visa holders can find out more about the number of hours and type of work you can undertake.

Will I be able to travel outside of the UK on my visa?

If you wish to go to another country for a study trip or holiday, you may require a visa to do so. Please check the Embassy website for the country that you wish to travel to for more information.

My CAS statement says that I need an ATAS certificate. What is this?

An ATAS certificate is a security clearance issued by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) to students who wish to study certain courses in the UK. The ATAS required courses are mainly at PhD and MRes level, but there are several masters degrees that also require an ATAS certificate.

Fees and finance

What are the tuition fees?

Tuition fees vary depending on the course you study. The fees for your course can be found on the course page, using the course finder. The fees are listed in the 'fees and costs' section for each course.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

International applicants are required to pay a £5,000 tuition fee deposit, unless exempt.

You can find out if you're exempt by checking the 'deposit exemptions' list on our international fees webpage.

  • Log into your Student View account
  • Select ‘Your offer’ in the left-hand menu
  • Then select ‘Information on your offer’ from the drop-down list which appears
  • Click on the button ‘Pay your deposit’.

How do I pay my fees?

You can pay your fees using the 91¶¶Òõ’s payment service, Flywire. Log into your account to make a payment via Flywire.

When must I pay my fees?

Tuition fees should be paid in full at the start of your course, or in two instalments. Find our more and view the tuition fee payment deadlines online.

What scholarships are available to help with the costs of the course?
