Non-regulated tuition fees, which usually apply to international students and UK postgraduate students* are subject to an annual increase of a maximum of 5% or the Consumer Prices Index (CPI), whichever is higher.
*Some designated postgraduate courses are regulated by the UK government – the annual fee increase for eligible UK / Home students on these designated courses will not exceed the UK government’s regulated tuition fee limit set for the relevant academic year.

Tuition fee deposit

International applicants are required to pay a tuition fee deposit (apart from those included in the 'deposit exemptions' list at the bottom of this page.)

The deposit you pay will be based on the start date of your course.

Deposit
 Student start date Deposit

 September 2025  £5,000

The deposit is subject to review, but the minimum amount of £5,000 will apply from January 2025.

Please log into your account to pay your deposit and follow the steps below:

  • Log into your Student View account
  • Select ‘Your offer’ in the left-hand menu

Sanctioned countries:

The university has a legal obligation to follow financial sanctions imposed by the . Financial sanctions are restrictions placed upon individuals or entire countries, which limit what sorts of business relationship the university can have with them.

In accordance with the UK Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act, the university is unable to accept payments originating from sanctioned countries. As at May 2024 these are Iran, North Korea, Cuba, the Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk Provinces of Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Russia and Belarus. Tuition fee deposit refund policy

Conditional offers

Applicants holding a conditional offer who subsequently fail to meet the conditions of their offer to obtain an unconditional offer - shall be refunded (unless they obtain an unconditional offer for another course).

The refund will be subject to a £100 administration fee.

Unconditional offers: students requiring a Student Visa

Before Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) assigned

If the university is unable to issue a CAS then the deposit will be refunded. If an option to defer is offered we will hold the deposit to use for following year’s course of study. Any refund will be subject to a £100 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.

After CAS assigned and before application for visa (or application for visa is withdrawn before being decided)

The university will grant a refund where extenuating personal circumstances justify not taking up offer – please contact us if you are seeking a refund and outline details of your extenuating circumstances. A member of the international team will then contact you directly to request documentation. If there is the option to defer the student's place, the university will hold the deposit to use for the following year’s course of study. Any refund will be subject to a £1,500 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.

After CAS assigned and Student visa obtained

The university will grant a refund where extenuating personal circumstances justify not taking up offer – please contact us if you are seeking a refund and outline details of your extenuating circumstances. A member of the international team will then contact you directly to request documentation. If the student does not use the visa to travel to the UK and defers their place, the university will hold the deposit to use for the following year’s course of study. Any refund will be subject to a £2,500 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.

After CAS assigned and Student visa refused

Refusals on the grounds of credibility will only be eligible for a deposit refund if the refusal is subsequently overturned as incorrect through a successful UKVI Administrative Review. The International Student Advice and Support team will be able to advise a student on submitting an Administrative Review if it appears that the refusal is incorrect. In exceptional cases where an Administrative Review is unsuccessful, deposit refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis following a review by the International Student Advice and Support team and Visa Compliance team. Student must provide clear and complete copy of the UKVI Refusal Notice which can be considered on the advice of 91¶¶Òõ immigration advisers and 91¶¶Òõ Visa Compliance team. Any refund will be subject to a £1,500 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.

Applicants are required to contact the International Student Advice and Support team if they are called for a credibility interview as part of the visa application process and the team will advise the applicant on whether they should pursue the application.

Where an applicant has deferred their offer to the next intake for the course and they qualify for a refund for one of the reasons above, their refund will be retained for the purpose of the deferred admission rather than refunded often shortly before the applicant will need to pay the deposit again.

After CAS assigned – visa application delay

Deposit is refunded upon receipt of evidence that the visa application was made by the relevant deadline for the type of application made (standard service or priority service). Any refund will be subject to a £1,500 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.

After CAS assigned and student visa obtained – failure to enrol by published enrolment deadline

Deposit will be refunded if evidence is provided that the failure to enrol was a direct result of a visa processing delay by UKVI. In this case, evidence is required that the visa application was made by the relevant deadline for the type of application made (standard service or priority service). Any refund will be subject to a £3,000 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.
