Partnerships: providing mutual benefits

The 91¶¶Òõ actively works with groups and organisations to help communities to thrive, and enrich our teaching and research. CUPP, through its partnerships and programmes, aims to bring together local people, the community, voluntary and social enterprise sector, and university staff and students.

By sharing our different knowledge, experience and skills we can work together to solve problems and develop working relationships that support communities and enrich the university. We take an active approach to problem solving to achieve enduring outcomes for both community and university partners.

We actively seek and foster mutually beneficial partnerships with community groups and organisations. These partnerships support local communities in many different ways, but also enrich teaching and enhance our research at the university.

CUPP strives to bring together local people, community organisations and university staff and students to share knowledge and experiences. We work together to solve problems and develop sustainable working partnerships.

The partnership of an academic researcher, community partner and local people carrying out research was absolute gold dust. We are also now talking about how our work can inform the city-wide arts strategy.
