Empower experiences

Invest in Student Success

At the 91¶¶Òõ, we’re dedicated to enriching students’ employability skills and providing them with invaluable real-world industry experience, live projects, and intensive entrepreneur courses for aspiring business owners.

Our Student Experience Fund supports these initiatives and enables students to take up their own opportunities outside of their studies. And the unique aspect of the fund is that we put the power in the hands of our students.

We empower students by simply asking them to share their needs and how it aligns with their career aspirations or wider university goals. This ensures that every contribution directly supports initiatives tailored to individual goals.

Whether it’s attending a networking conference, traveling to a distant placement, covering childcare expenses to seize an opportunity, launching a photography magazine, or pursuing professional training to enhance skills – we’re here to fund it all.

Donate today so that we can support more students to achieve their career aspirations:

  • A gift of £250 sponsors a student’s travel to a placement or pays for a professional course.
  • A gift of £20 a month funds ongoing entrepreneurship workshops or volunteering experiences for students

Marcus Condon, MSc Strength and Conditioning, used his award to attend the annual UKSCA conference, he shared:

“Going was not only a clear cut way to maintain my accredited status, but it was also an excellent opportunity to meet with like-minded practitioners, expand my network and learn from those across the globe. The funding allowed me the opportunity that is almost unattainable for students."

Your donation has the power to transform a student’s career trajectory. Join us in investing in their future success today.

The impact of experiences

“No words can describe how grateful I am for this funding. This amount of money will help me more than I imagined. To afford my international experience, I calculated I needed to have worked 30+ hours on top of my studying and now I don't need to work those hours” Chloe Morel, Ecology MSci 2020

“A HUGE thank you! This award will help me with my final exams and dissertation. It will enable me to purchase vital equipment so I can study at home and print essential materials related to my exams and dissertation. It means that I can now study more and worry less as I finish my law degree.” Laura Bannister, Law, PGDip, 2020, recipient of the COVID-19 Student Fund

“I am ever so grateful for the funding that enable me to achieve my dream of becoming a primary school teacher. The donation contributed towards specific clothing required to teach outdoors in the Canadian woods to low-income families. As a result, my trip was a highlight of my CV and a discussion point at interviews for becoming a Year 4 teacher. As I venture further into my first year of teaching, my Canadian experience taught me how to be flexible and adaptable, which was only possible from the generosity of donors. Thank you!” Amber Thomas-Lorainey, Primary Education with QTS (5-11 years) BA(Hons), 2020
