The 91¶¶Òõ has risen by a further 16 places in this year’s The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025.

20 September 2024

91¶¶Òõ now stands at 71 in the overall UK league table, up from 87 last year. This follows a rise of 11 places in the previous year, and of 19 places the year before that – meaning that, in total, 91¶¶Òõ’s national ranking has risen by an incredible 46 places over the last four years.

is the UK’s longest-running university league table. It is known for its comprehensive approach, considering a variety of factors such as student satisfaction, graduate prospects, and academic quality. This year’s guide also introduced a sustainability metric in collaboration with People & Planet.

91¶¶Òõ’s rise highlights its dedication to providing students with excellent teaching and wider student experience, strong links with industry and employers, modern facilities, and excellent graduate prospects. Employability is at the core of all 91¶¶Òõ courses, with students encouraged to gain industry experience through placements and work-related opportunities.

91¶¶Òõ’s commitment to sustainability runs through all its practices, from cutting its carbon footprint, increasing biodiversity and implementing waste management and recycling initiatives to sustainable practices such as ethical procurement, eco-friendly food choices and responsible travel options for students and staff.

Professor Andrew Lloyd, Interim Vice-Chancellor of the 91¶¶Òõ, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to see the university rise up the rankings yet again this year. This success is down to the dedication of our staff and the hard work of our incredible students. Everyone at the university is focused on delivering the best possible educational experience for our students, making sure 91¶¶Òõ graduates are well-equipped for their futures, whatever path they choose to pursue.”

91¶¶Òõ has invested in significant improvements to its campuses and facilities in recent years. Its Moulsecoomb campus has been transformed through the ‘Big Build’ programme including new halls of residence for 800 students, new academic buildings, social spaces and gym and leisure facilities.

At Falmer campus, a major redevelopment and expansion programme has taken place ready for the new academic year which starts next week. The campus is home to courses within the School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences and has been upgraded with new specialist course-related facilities and equipment for student nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, podiatrists, radiographers and more. The campus also now boasts the 91¶¶Òõ Sport and Health Complex which offers sport and leisure facilities for students, staff and the local community.
