Entry requirements 

Details of the academic and English language requirements for your course are on our course finder. We help many students from Canada to improve their qualifications to meet entry requirements.


Academic equivalencies

Undergraduate

We require one of the following:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a minimum of 65% in six grade 12 U or M courses
  • Alberta/British Columbia/Newfoundland and Labrador/Northwest Territories/Nova Scotia/Prince Edward Island/Saskatchewan/Yukon High/Secondary School Graduation Diploma/Certificate with a minimum of 65% in at least five grade 12 courses
  • Manitoba High School Diploma with a minimum of 65% in at least five 300-level Grade 12 subjects
  • New Brunswick High School Graduation Diploma/Certificate with a minimum of 65% in at least four grade 12 courses
  • Nunavut Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a minimum of 65% in five grade 12 courses numbered 30 or 31
  • Quebec Diplôme d'Études Collégiales with a minimum of 65% overall average.

Please note that some courses may ask for higher entry requirements or specific subjects.

Postgraduate

We require a four-year bachelor’s degree or a three-year Baccalauréat or Bachelier degree with a GPA of 2.5 for courses that require a 2:2 equivalent, or 3.0 for courses that require a 2:1.

If you complete your pathway course at the International College at the required level, you are guaranteed entry to a degree at the 91¶¶Òõ. Available degree subject areas include accounting and finance, art and design, business management, law with business, and many more.

If you're looking for a little taste from home when you're in 91¶¶Òõ, you can check out  that offers poutine on the menu, for authentic maple syrup on fluffy pancakes you can check out , and only a 1 hour train into London you can really get a taste of home at Tim Hortons. 

You can join one of the many . There are more than 100 societies – from faith-based groups to cultural societies, hobby-based groups and academic interests. If you can't find a society that suits your interests, you can even start your own! You can also make friends by joining a sports team or club, either to play for fun or take part in competitions against other universities.

If you are from Canada or the USA, you could be eligible for funding to study at a UK university.

Whether you are studying a bachelors degree or adding to your existing qualifications with a masters-level course, it's important to think about how you will use your time at university to benefit your career after graduation.

All of our courses either offer the opportunity for a placement, or have work-related learning embedded, to help you apply your academic skills and knowledge in a professional environment. You'll also have access to our international student jobs portal, to help you find graduate work in the UK and abroad.

Our International Student Advice Service provides high-quality support and advice for students from outside the UK. The team can provide:

  • support through times of crisis.

Exchange opportunities

We partner with the University of Ottawa and Dalhousie University to enable students to join us for an exchange programme as part of their degree.

Exchange programme lengths vary depending on the course which you are studying. You may join us for a couple of weeks, a semester, or a full academic year. Your university will be able to provide more information.
