Accommodation

Finding the right type of accommodation is very important. We make sure that all our students have access to good quality, affordable and safe accommodation.

Accept your offer and book your accommodation by the deadline and we will guarantee you an offer of a room in our halls of residence in your first year.

Whether you choose to live in our halls, or decide to live in privately rented accommodation, we are here help.

We recommend that you look for accommodation in 91¶¶Òõ, ideally close to the campus you'll be based on. Travelling from neighbouring towns and cities is possible but you would need to factor in the additional costs of travel and the time it takes.

91¶¶Òõ students on Moulsecoomb campus

I had such an amazing first year! I made friendships that lasted throughout uni, and after graduating. The staff in halls were amazing at taking care of us, they were always up for a chat and helpful if you had any questions or problems.

Your accommodation options

We have options to suit everyone, these include:

University halls of residence

Halls of residence are buildings managed by the university and rented exclusively to students. Typically students living in halls share a kitchen with three to eight other people and have their own private study bedroom.

Most of our halls have a private bathroom in each bedroom. All of our halls are self-catered.

Private rooms or apartments

If you choose to rent in the private sector, we can help you find somewhere to live and people to live with.

Find out more about living in private accommodation and how we can help.

Help finding accommodation

In your first year at the university you can choose between living in our halls of residence or finding private accommodation. We have teams of advisers who can help you with both. If you have any questions you can email the accommodation office accommodation@brighton.ac.uk.

You will find guidance about accommodation available to international students, on the website.
