Careers forums and other events

In addition to major careers fairs, you have a range of other opportunities to meet employers and make connections on campus.

We also publicise off-campus recruitment and networking events of interest to students and graduates via social media.

See our events calendar

Careers forums

Careers forums are a chance for students to engage with a panel of professionals working in a particular sector.

They aim to give you an idea about what it is like to work in certain jobs or industries and how you go about doing this once you graduate. They are not recruitment events but are a great way to research your career options.

We run careers forums on an annual or bi-annual basis for Accountancy and Finance, Humanities, Law, and Social Sciences.

Employer pop-up stands

Employer stands offer a chance to meet companies and other agencies looking to engage with students and promote their opportunities and their brand.

Stands can be found on campus throughout the academic year. See our events calendar and social media for details of upcoming visits.

Other on-campus events

Courses leading to professional registration such as teaching and health professions will incorporate employer involvement throughout the course.

Other courses offer a range of the following:

  • Employer talks
  • Live briefs
  • Employer visits
  • Alumni talks

External events

We publish frequent roundups of local and national recruitment and networking events for students and graduates via our blog.

Subscribe and make sure you don’t miss out on a broad range of fantastic opportunities.
