The university encourages all students to travel sustainably and actively to campus where possible, and plan ahead so you know the options available to you.

Walking and cycling

All students are encouraged to walk and cycle to campus where possible. It's a great way to keep fit, manage your wellbeing and is very low cost!

Our City Campus is a 15-minute walk from 91¶¶Òõ station, and both Moulsecoomb and Falmer campuses are within 10 minutes’ walk of local train stations.

All our campuses have cycle parking, external bike pumps and access to showers and lockers.  are available to hire across all our 91¶¶Òõ campuses.

Public transport

All our campuses are well served by public transport.

91¶¶Òõ & Hove Buses operate in the city and surrounding areas and offer discounted student tickets available on your smartphone.

All 91¶¶Òõ-based students should be aware that it is normal for buses travelling to and from the city centre to Moulsecoomb and Falmer to be very busy for the first few weeks of the academic year.

Moulsecoomb and Falmer train stations operated by Southern Rail are within walking distance of our campuses. For students who commute by train, Southern Rail offers the , which gets you unlimited train travel in and around 91¶¶Òõ and can save you up to 70% on rail fares. Savings can also be made on train fares by .

Full-time students and anyone aged 16-25 can save up to one third on coach fares across Britain with the .

Driving, car sharing and parking

Driving is not encouraged and car parking on all of our campuses and halls of residence is restricted and only available to those with an e-permit parking permit. Permits are limited and are allocated on the basis of our parking criteria outlined our .
