Falmer campus

Set in the South Downs, our Falmer campus is around four miles from 91¶¶Òõ city centre. 91¶¶Òõ and Hove Albion's Amex stadium and beautiful Stanmer Park are right next door.

This campus is home to our School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences, and our Great Wilkins and Paddock Field halls.

What's on campus

On our Falmer campus you'll find two halls of residence, as well as the library, restaurant, cafes, and a students' union shop and bar.

More than 600 students live in halls of residence on this campus and a number of areas of 91¶¶Òõ popular with students are just a short cycle or bus ride away. These include Moulsecoomb, Bevendean, Hollingbury, Elm Grove and other suburbs that stretch up the hills on either side of the Lewes Road.

Falmer has a floodlit astroturf football pitch, netball and tennis courts, a sports centre with a fitness suite, two activity studios and a sports hall with six badminton courts. Beyond the campus you can find teams for almost every sport, from beach volleyball to touch rugby. The campus is right next to 91¶¶Òõ & Hove Albion's Amex Stadium.

Travel and transport

Bicycle: There are cycle lanes running all the way from 91¶¶Òõ city centre to Falmer along Lewes Road (A270) via the Moulsecoomb campus. On campus there are plenty of covered cycle stands monitored by CCTV.  are available to hire across all our 91¶¶Òõ campuses.

Bus: The 25 and 23 run regularly from central 91¶¶Òõ. The 28 and 29 express service between 91¶¶Òõ and Lewes stops at Falmer station. For timetables and student fares visit the . 

Train: The closest station is Falmer and there are up to four trains an hour from 91¶¶Òõ to Falmer (9 minutes). You can get unlimited train travel around the area using the . For timetables check .

Car: There is limited permit-controlled car parking on campus. Staff and students are encouraged to use bikes and public transport. To get the best route for your journey use the following postcodes:
