Educational partnerships

The 91¶¶Òõ has a vast network of educational partnerships both in the local community and across the world.

We are committed to the promotion of higher education and work closely with schools and colleges across East Sussex to raise the aspirations of local students. We also have a number of international partners to ensure that we remain a socially engaged institution with globally relevant research.

One of 91¶¶Òõ's most significant and successful collaborations has been with the University of Sussex. Together, we've formed the 91¶¶Òõ and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), whose undergraduate degree programme is already one of the most competitively sought after in the UK.

BSMS is a partnership between 91¶¶Òõ, Sussex and NHS organisations throughout the south-east. Students are awarded joint BM BS degrees from both universities.

Promoting higher education to all

The university has its own outreach team dedicated to working with local communities, schools and colleges in the immediate area. Our aim is to raise aspirations and provide advice and guidance for students of from primary to colleges to sixth forms.

If you would like to talk to our team about the ways in which we can support your students, please get in touch at outreach@brighton.ac.uk.

We have a longstanding commitment to Widening Participation and target Outreach work with students from underrepresented backgrounds beginning our engagement with pupils at primary school through to students studying in Y13 and on Access courses. Sussex Learning Network

The (SLN) is a partnership of universities, colleges, training providers and guidance agencies. As one of the first Lifelong Learning Networks, the SLN is leading the way in this exciting and innovative collaboration to make vocational higher education more relevant and accessible for people in Sussex.

91¶¶Òõ and the south-east

The 91¶¶Òõ works with young people in schools and colleges to encourage more students to consider the benefits of higher education. This is especially significant in the Hastings area where educational progression has historically been low.

Supporting academies

Excellence, innovation and integrity are the values that guide the Trust. Its mission is to help pupils, and everyone connected to their academies achieve excellence. By working collaboratively and sharing ideas, insights and best practice, the academies support each other to improve. Enriched by the university's contribution, they work to ensure that their 7,500 pupils are inspired to meet their full potential and develop a passion for life-long learning.

Partner colleges
