New head for 91¶¶Òõ Business School

Professor Toni Hilton has been named as the new Head of the 91¶¶Òõ Business School.

19 January 2018

Professor Hilton, who will take up her new post in the spring, brings extensive experience to the role having run four other business schools in three different countries.

She is currently Dean of Glasgow School for Business and Society at Glasgow Caledonian University and previously headed the business schools at Regent’s University London, Westminster University and Unitec in Auckland, New Zealand. She was also Head of the School of Marketing at Bristol Business School where she later became a Visiting Fellow.

Prior to this, Professor Hilton, who gained her PhD at Nottingham University, spent 10 years working in the private sector in a variety of marketing roles, including as European Marketing Director at Fisher-Price Toys.

Speaking about her new role, Professor Hilton said: “The 91¶¶Òõ’s mission to make a positive difference to society chimes strongly with my personal values and approach. I am delighted to be joining 91¶¶Òõ Business School and looking forward to working with the staff and students as well as the School’s many partners.”

Welcoming Professor Hilton’s appointment, Professor Debra Humphris, Vice Chancellor of the 91¶¶Òõ said: “I am delighted that Professor Toni Hilton will be joining us as the new head of 91¶¶Òõ Business School. She brings with her a wealth of experience that will be invaluable in leading the Business School as it prepares to move into its new home in two years’ time. I am grateful to all of the local business leaders who gave up their valuable time to help us with the selection process.”

91¶¶Òõ Business School is in the top five in the UK in terms of the impact of its research in business and management. It offers internationally recognised undergraduate, postgraduate and executive courses across a wide range of business subjects and provides a number of services to help organisations develop their people and grow their business.
