That's the view of Donald Clark, a keynote speaker at one of a series of public talks launched by the 91¶¶Òõ in Hastings.
Mr Clark has spent a lifetime in technology, games, film and the mobile industry and was the chief executive officer and one of the original founders of the 91¶¶Òõ-based Epic Group plc, which established itself as the leading company in the UK online learning market. He now travels the world sharing and evangelizing about the use of technology and learning.
The talks, by pioneering thinkers, broadcasters and award-winning business leaders in journalism and digital media, will run throughout the year. Both students and the public are invited.
Donald Clark, will be presenting the first talk in the Priory Square Lecture Theatre in Hastings at 6pm on Thursday, 13 November.
His talk 'TV is dying' will explore the ways in which wearable technology works to process information and how it can change the way we view the world. Donald argues fast emerging technologies such as Oculus Rift and Google Glasses will soon force dated, passive media out of the market.
Other speakers include Radio 4 producer, Peter Curran, who will talk about his career as a writer and broadcast radio producer in January 2015; and documentary maker, Emeka Onono, who will discuss his political documentaries and current commission for BBC 3 in February.
